504 Plans

The Rehabilitation Act of 1973: Section 504 clearly states that a free and public education must be made available to all qualified students with disabilities...in each case, the individual educational needs of the child should be addressed in the least restrictive environment possible.

Accommodations are provided in the following areas:

  • Physical arrangement of room

  • Instruction

  • Assignments

  • Test taking

  • Class assignment/daily schedule

  • Organization and study skills

  • Behavior management

  • Accommodation provided by parents/guardians at home

  • Health Issues such as:

    • ADHD

    • Anxiety

    • Arthritis/Muscle/Orthopedic Issues

    • Asthma

    • Cerebral Palsy

    • Compromised Immune System

    • Diabetes

    • Food Allergies
